Forever [Jul. 17th, 2009|09:07 am]
So it has been .....well a very damn long time since I have posted. So much has happened that I figured I would give a brief summary of events.

Jan: nothing to report
Feb: was laid off, got a months severance.. big whoop shit.. started to look for a job

March: worked out, looked for a job read a LOT of books.
April: same as march,
May: same as april but also went to Montana for a long weekend and drank it up with the locals in Whitefish.. Was VERY interesting, but had a blast.

May is when the story really begins, I interviewed with a couple of companies, was offered a couple of jobs, but ended up selecting the best one.
June 1 my first day of training started at Virgin American for in-flight.

July I started flying.

Now we are all up to date, and I am sitting in our airport reserve area waiting for my trip that starts at 11.

Is honesty to much to ask for from a friend?

Lost it's way [Feb. 3rd, 2008|10:30 am]
So I woke up this am at the crack of down and decided to head over to get my coffee, there are two choices within a block of the house and they are literally a stone throw's away from each other. Now comes the choice I can go to the one I know (biggest one in the world) or this little stand that is a drive through only. When you figure in the tip for the small shop prices are pretty much the same. The thing that I like is that the small shop still has personality, so even if the coffee is not As consistent you gain a lot by the people actually taking the time to talk to you about your day or just be polite. That is where the big guy has changed, its so rushed that they forget to actually care.

That is all

7 deadly sins [Jan. 17th, 2008|02:35 pm]
It seems like a lot of Americans start the New Year with a resolution of some sort, whether it be to lose weight or make more money or even just start eating healthier. What I don’t understand is why, why do people feel that in 2008 it is going to be easier for them to get off the couch then 2007. The thing that sparked this was the other day at the gym during TKB, there were about a dozen people that I have never seen there.. and of course they will probably only be there for another two weeks, but they were all overweight and you could tell had not worked out in a very long time. How did we turn into such a lazy country? We always hear about how all these things are bad for us (being gay, pre-marital sex), but these same people are fat and lazy two of the “seven deadly sins”. How did we fall so far from where we should be. Instead of focusing on things we can fix we worry about things that don’t affect ourselves.

2008 [Jan. 15th, 2008|09:53 am]
[mood |working]

I cannot believe that I am actually working a full week, how crazy is that. It has been so nice taking a day here and a day there since the holidays, but I guess like all good things it had to come to an end.

I took Thursday and Friday off last week and spent the whole time up in the mountain boarding my life away, it was a lot of fun, since we had a friend in town we went to the bars to hang out, have not gone out in Seattle in a very long time, so that was a nice change.

Sunday I talked my parents into going out to dinner in Bellevue, and decided to go to Maggiano’s . My father of course was pleasantly surprised at the portions (and yet he ate the whole thing) and we all had a great time. It seems like it is very rare that I get to spend quality time with the parents without the rest of the family there, so the fact that Kenny and I actually got to have a conversation  not about kids or sports was awesome. Sunday was also the day Kenny and finally got to give my parents their Christmas presents.  Normally this is not a big deal, but this year I was able to go all out and get my dad the ultimate present. It’s a very rare thing to see my dad speechless, so that when it happens I am just in awe.  Other than that not a lot going on… working lots again and just saving up the mula. I think I want to have a movie night this weekend.. Probably Saturday after I work..

Sitting with my back against the couch sipping on a soy latte and eating a turkey and egg white omelete, that is how my Sunday begins.
Hard to believe it has only been a week since we were boarding a plane to head to sin city. What better way to bring in the new year then to spend it with friends in the city that never sleeps.
The trip started out with Kenny Carla and I having a cocktail pre-flight in the airport, and of course I continued on and did not stop until the day we left. Thanks to a good friend we ended up getting VIP access to the clubs for the weekend, not only did that save us a grip of money it made lines a thing of the past, def something I could get used to. I lost my eclair virginity on this trip as well... OMG it was amazing I had no idea what I was missing out on with those things....

Other then that not a lot going on, Justin flies into town this Wed to start boarding so that will be fun.. I think my goal is to not work a full week the entire month of January, so we shall see how that goes.

T stands for [Dec. 7th, 2007|10:53 am]

If I never see a whole turkey again it will be too soon.

This was the first year that I had to break our anti-thanksgiving tradition, and of course this is the year I lost my Turkey virginity. One of the good things about owning a bigger house is that I don’t have to run over to hell and back for every holiday, the bad part is that means the family comes to our place.

Mom and dad showed up Wednesday night to kick off the holiday and we all went to Chinese food, my sister and her husband ended up joining us as well. Nothing like a pregnant chick with attitude.

Thursday rolls around and now we have a house full, even my big bro made it. While everyone was watching tv and playing games I was of course in the kitchen preparing the meal with the help of my mother and even a little help from the sis. I had no idea how simple it is to cook a turkey, I just assumed there would be a lot of prep work, and then you cook it. The hardest thing I had to do was fist the turkey while pulling out the “guts”.  Once dinner was done Kenny went to work setting up for Christmas, this is a yearly tradition because he always works on the day after.  While Kenny was setting up Christmas my father and I took the dogs for a walk and talked. This is something that him and I rarely do, not that we don’t love each other, we are just in 2 totally different worlds.

Friday I was up by 5:45 and out the door by 6:30 am with mom and sis to fight the crowd. Mom really wanted to go to Kohls so we went… OMG I have never been to a store that had a line so long it took over an hour to check out. After mom got in line with the sis I decided to walk over to the Rack to see what was on sale there. I had enough time to browse the entire store buy a few things and still beat my mom to the car. I felt a little guilty because everything I bought was for me, but frankly I earned it.

LET IT SNOW [Nov. 28th, 2007|01:39 pm]

So I hate just waiting for the damn ski resorts to open. It seemed like I was finally getting decent at boarding last year and the season was over.  The best part about this year is I have all the gear and accessories I need so there is not any major expenses, all we have to do is jump in the jeep and roll.

It’s hard to believe that it is already almost December and soon enough it will be 2008. I know that December is going to fly simply because of everything that is going on. I will be working at least one day every weekend on top of my normal schedule and most weekends I work both days. So by the end of December should have a butt load of money saved up for Vegas.

I think I want to have a Christmas party but I am not sure I will have any damn time, maybe we will just have one in the middle of the week……
